We have been coming up with ideas for our coursework piece all week however, are struggling to get some good ideas being produced. After being influenced by King Ponce and wanting to go against the normal stereotype of teenagers the group are wanting to come up with a quirky and different idea that will keep our audience interested for the duration of our film.
During the lesson yesterday we came up with the idea of having someone who is creating a video diary on Youtube/vlog and going through their daily or weekly routine and conveying to the audience that they are a typical teenager, always going out, socializing with friends, going to college etc. However, there will be a twist, our character is actually very lonely; he has little friends and rarely goes anywhere. Instead of making this short film sad we intend to make some aspects of it into a comedy and try to keep the audience engaged by keeping them amused.
These are two examples of video diaries/vlog's that are on Youtube, one is by Cher Lloyd who competed on the 2010 edition of X-factor. The next is one I simply found on Youtube by an American teenager talking about his life in general.
